{"id":23437,"date":"2023-01-25T09:51:56","date_gmt":"2023-01-25T08:51:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iiipc.unican.es\/2019\/?p=23437"},"modified":"2024-01-10T13:12:20","modified_gmt":"2024-01-10T12:12:20","slug":"investigating-how-paleoclimate-affected-human-subsistence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iiipc.unican.es\/en\/investigating-how-paleoclimate-affected-human-subsistence\/","title":{"rendered":"Investigating how paleoclimate affected human subsistence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El proyecto en curso es continuaci\u00f3n de uno anterior: <em>Human subsistence and climate change in european refugia: Late Neanderthals and Early Modern Humans \u2013 EUROREFUGIA<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>EUROREFUGIA ten\u00eda varios objetivos: En primer lugar, permitir desarrollar la investigaci\u00f3n de la investigadora principal cuyo tema era el estudio de las causas de extinci\u00f3n de los neandertales desde un punto de vista multidisciplinar, mediante el an\u00e1lisis de los restos de animales que hab\u00edan formado parte de su dieta recuperados en yacimientos de la regi\u00f3n cant\u00e1brica y Serbia central y las condiciones ambientales que vivieron. Para ello, en segundo lugar, fue necesario establecer una colecci\u00f3n osteol\u00f3gica de referencia que permitiese llevar a cabo los an\u00e1lisis arqueofaun\u00edsticos. As\u00ed, en el verano de 2012, con la ayuda de estudiantes de Grado de diferentes universidades se puso en marcha la clasificaci\u00f3n y disposici\u00f3n de la colecci\u00f3n osteol\u00f3gica personal de Mar\u00edn, creando una base de datos para su consulta. A partir de 2013 se firmaron convenios con centros de la naturaleza, zoos y Consejer\u00edas de Asturias y Cantabria para la cesi\u00f3n de carcasas que en los a\u00f1os sucesivos se han ido integrando en la osteoteca del IIIPC. Por \u00faltimo, el objetivo del proyecto era crear un grupo de trabajo en la l\u00ednea de trabajo que tra\u00eda la investigadora. As\u00ed pues, se atrajo talento internacional con investigadoras de las Universidades de Cambridge, Cardiff y Tubinga que han realizado su formaci\u00f3n predoctoral y postdoctoral en el IIIPC.
