The collection carpológica of reference of the IIIPC, with seeds of more than 1200 species of plants, with special emphasis on the specimens found in the atlantic area of the iberian peninsula in prehistoric recent (Holocene). The collection is ordered, following the naming of IT IS Catalog of Life, families and genera. The current species are from the direct collection of the members of the IIIPC, as well as the donation of different botanical gardens, and other collections of reference carpológica. There is also a collection of reference tafonómica of seeds. We have used experiments tafonómicos to create specimens that have been charred, deposited in animal manure or eaten by rodents. The collection also contains some samples of archaeological charred donated by institutions and archaeologists.
