Doctor in paleolithic cave art from the University of Cantabria, research for the benefit of a predoctoral fellowship from the Basque Government.
I get a postdoctoral fellowship (2007-2008) of the same organism to continue with my training and research in the center TRACES-UMR5608 of the Université de Toulouse-Le Mirail (France).
From 2009 until 2017 I've built the template of the Archaeological Museum of Bizkaia and since 2018 I was hired the “Ramón y Cajal” by the University of Cantabria.
I have directed numerous research projects, with special influence on the area of the cantabrian and pyrenees, where, in addition, I coordinate systematic prospecting for the location of decorated caves unpublished.
I also participate in the research teams of the cave of La Garma and Chauvet, relating to the global level.
In all cases, I outline a comprehensive approach to the symbolic phenomenon that considers all the actions related to its development and the investment of resources that assumes, as a way of addressing their role within societies, paleolithic.
