Visual artist and essayist. Holds a Bachelor's degree and a PhD in Fine Arts (University of the Basque Country). Holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Educational Sciences (University of Salamanca). Since 1987, he has maintained a regular and continuous exhibition activity, reflected in more than 25 solo exhibitions and numerous national and international group exhibitions. In his career, it is worth highlighting... three of the main recognitions for a graphic artist in our country: the National Engraving Prize (2000), awarded by the National Chalcography–Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando; the commission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to represent Spain at the XXIV International Graphic Art Biennial of Ljubljana, Slovenia (2001); and being the “Guest Artist” of the XV International Graphic Art Fair ESTAMPA 2007. To this must be added other awards (Graphic Innovation Award at the II Ibero-American Biennial of Graphic Art of Cáceres (2007), Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving (2004), Miró Foundation Grant (2001), etc.). He has been guest artist in residence in important international centers of graphic arts such as: Kala Art Institute, Berkeley, California, USA (2001); Rutgers Center for Innovative Print and Paper. Rutgers University. New Jersey. USA (1999); Centrum Voor Grafiek Frans Masereel. Kasterlee, Belgium (1996); Instituto Centrala di Grafica di Latina. Sermoneta, Latina. Italy (1988).
