The Board of Trustees is composed, at different levels, of representatives from the institutions jointly holding ownership of the Institute: the University of Cantabria, the Government of Cantabria, and the Santander Group, as well as the Institute’s management team. Its role focuses on ensuring the proper administrative, financial, and organizational functioning of the Institute, through the contributions made by each entity under the terms of the Agreement signed between the parties:
- The University of Cantabria provides its facilities and is responsible for the administration of staff and scientific equipment.
- The Santander Group provides financial resources
- The Government of Cantabria, in addition to acting as the senior administrative authority responsible for the management of regional archaeological heritage, provides various forms of support through agreements established with research projects carried out by the Institute, as well as specific funding for outreach activities (scientific meetings, conferences, publications, etc.).
